Version 1.4.15

We had last minutes updates adding Play integrity check (v1.4.13) and removing it later after reports that is causing crashes of the application (v1.4.14). AI dreamed and didn't make it properly. As almost always. However, I did not spot it before I released that.

Now I prepared a new version with major fixes - SkyTrack v1.4.15:

  • fixed button positions and styles across the application
  • unified window title color
  • improved overview in the visited country module
  • improved airline autocomplete

  • added old IATA airport codes FRU, TSE and SXF (but will have to be solved more systematically)
  • fixed sorting of dropdown menu with country names when inserting your own airport and airline
  • added play-integrity plugin, which detects whether the application was downloaded from Google Play or not

Play Console Update 2026/03/11 Vol. 2

The Google Play Console is full of surprises—and not always the good kind.

While moving from Internal to Closed testing, I hit a snag I didn't see coming: my testers were being prompted to pay for the app. It turns out that unless you specifically set up License Testing, Google treats Closed testers like regular customers. My original internal testers never mentioned this because they were already exempt, leaving me totally in the dark until Vojta reached out and I thank you him again. I am deeply sorry for the confusion caused.

I had already promised my testers that they would receive the full version of the app for free once testing ends, regardless of the final price. To honor that commitment and to provide a safety net for anyone still facing licensing issues, I’ve generated a batch of promo codes. These will be distributed after the closed testing phase concludes, ensuring everyone gets the full access they were promised.

How to bypass it?

Now the license testing is turned on. Click on price and select "Testovací karta" to pay. The payment is going to be simulated and app will be downloaded for free.

8 testers signed. At least 4 to go.

Play Console Update 2026/03/10

Play Console Update:

  • KYC verification passed

  • Production build successfully compiled ⚙️

  • Tester list created 👥

  • Internal testing launched 🚀

Right now, I’m wading through dozens of different forms and fields to set up the Closed Testing phase—the final hurdle before making it onto Google Play.

I also had to get this blog up and running just to host the Privacy Policy. I didn't want to use some random third-party disclaimer host - I wanted to keep the legal stuff under my own playground.

I feel bad that the closed testing is still not up and running yet. Stay tuned.
